In questa disciplina \u00e8 la prima volta che gli azzurri salgono sul secondo gradino del podio grazie al quartetto composto da Alessandro Miressi, Thomas Ceccon, Lorenzo Zazzeri e Manuel Frigo. Al Tokyo Aquatics Centre gli azzurri si arrendono soltanto agli Stati Uniti che vincono in 3:08.97 e si prendono una fantastica medaglia d\u2019argento con il tempo di 3:10.11 . Per l&#8217;azzurra \u00e8 la seconda medaglia che arriva cinque anni dopo l\u2019oro di Rio 2016. L\u2019azzurra ha colpito 55 piattelli ed \u00e8 stata sconfitta solo dalla statunitense Amber English che ha conquistato l&#8217;oro con 56 piattelli (firmando un nuovo record olimpico).
